What is a Reciprocal Manager ?

According to webopidea's definition ( http://www.webopedia.com ) :

A reciprocal link is an agreement between two webmasters to provide a hyperlink within their own website to each other's web site. Generally this is done to provide readers with quick access to related sites, or to show a partnership between two sites. Reciprocal links can also help to increase traffic to your web site in two ways. First you will probably have some viewers visit your site from clicking the reciprocal link directly. Secondly, most Internet search engines also take into account the number of web sites which contain links to your web site; the more hyperlinks to your site found, the higher up in the search engine rankings (depending on the search term) you'll find your site.

To put it simply, when you are looking to increase your page rank (web traffic ), one of the best ways to achieve it is by submitting your link on other relevant sites. When you have a link of other sites and they have a link linking back to you, this is called a reciprocal link. Now you're well on your way to increasing your page rank, because search engines ( like google ) look at how many sites are linking back to you. Search engines look at how many web sites are linking back to you and use it to determine your page rank.

Now what if your partner sites removes your link? The search engine will not see your link there and your page rank will be lower. However, you haven't removed their link and the search engine will increase their page rank. Instead of going to each reciprocal link ( most web sites have a 100 reciprocal links or so) and checking to see if they have added your URL will be a tedious process.
